  • 1.  Benchmarking IT providers and costs

    Posted 19-04-2023 16:09

    Hi all,
We have used the same IT provider for many years and pay approx $1000 per month. They have suggested increasing costs another approx $400 monthly to increase cyber protection. I sense we are paying too much and wondering about a review of our IT needs. I would be interested to get some perspective on this from other organisations if you would be willing to share/comment.
    Kindest regards,

    Dear all,

I have just had a review of our cyber security and can recommend a company below. They provided a free two x one-hour sessions to establish what we use and what protections we have and then came back with recommendations based on the Essential 8 Maturity Level. They have provided a quote ($4900) and we now meet Level 1. It's always good to review and get another opinion.

The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has developed prioritised mitigation strategies, in the form of the Strategies to Mitigate Cyber Security Incidents , to help organisations protect themselves against various cyber threats.
