Good Afternoon,
Thank you everyone for attending this morning's initial meeting.
I apologise to those who could not attend due to my oversight - I am taking steps to ensure I don't miss any members again!
I will distribute a more permanent record of what occurred early next week but to provide you with initial details:
- We will schedule to meet every 6-8 weeks, unless something members feel is important arises
- Sub-groups of members working on specific topics is acceptable - provided they report back to the group the outcomes of their activities
- Communication will be facilitated by The Pool and this group on it.
- I will investigate if we can host a folder with documents accessible to all of you on our Sharepoint
Some important topics for consideration based on what was discussed include:
- promotion and advocacy of allied health interests through better use of communication channels - we can perhaps use the budget as a pilot for collaborative messaging; reach out to AHPA's comms manager to discuss use of our materials
- better understanding how to use the Pool for communication and collaboration - looking at conscription of an "expert member" to explain how to use the pool
- better understanding of how to manage advocacy prioritisation - asking Bron to contribute to a working group session
- sharing knowledge through the working group meetings
I will follow up with a bit of a plan for these activities next week.
