Dear colleagues,
Issues paper 2 has just been released by the Scope of Practice Review team (see here). The paper outlines the findings from the first rounds of consultation and evidence review and presenting a series of options for reform. The paper also includes a series of questions to guide further consultation. AHPA and the Primary Care Working Group will be reviewing the document in preparation for consultation feedback. We'll also be working with the self-regulating health professions to identify any areas that specifically impact their regulatory roles and any proposals for future reforms. We'll provide further updates as we begin reviewing the document.
The release of Issues Paper 2 signals the start of the review’s third round of consultation (Phase 3). A call for written submissions will open shortly on Citizen Space and run until 26 May 2024. We've also been advised that consultation sessions will be held in June.
